ABOUT
Craft your future as a barista! This is a two-day training that teaches the basics of making café beverages while gaining hands-on skills to launch your career in the bustling café scene.
From learning how to create espresso-based drinks to learning the art of customer service, participants will gain practical experience, industry insights, and the confidence to craft a perfect cup every time.
Whether you're starting a new career or building your skills, this training is the gateway to success in the coffee industry.
Note: This training is available for UNITE HERE! Local 75 members and/or those currently working in the hospitality industry.
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN
- Gain an understanding of the barista roles and responsibilities
- Learn about café culture and the fundamentals behind brewing
- Practice with commercial-grade equipment to troubleshoot common maintenance issues
- Dive deeper into espresso and milk preparation
- Perfect (and sample!) various recipes and common drink orders

- Member of UNITE HERE! Local 75 and/or currently working in the hospitality industry
- Eligible to work in Canada
- Food Handlers Certified
