ABOUT

WSET Level 1 Award in Wines course and provides you with an introduction to wine. This wine course takes a beginner-level approach – both with theory and with tasting – to the world of wine and is suitable for those starting a wine career or pursuing an interest in wine.  

Complete the program by writing the WSET Award in Wines exam. Successful candidates will receive the WSET certificate and pin recognized across Canada.  

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN

Become familiar with: 

  • The main types and styles of wines through sight, smell, and taste 
  • The basic skills you need to describe wines accurately

ELIGIBILITY & REQUIREMENTS

  • Acceptance to the program is conditional.
  • 19+ years of age.
  • Smart Serve certified
  • For participants unable to commute to Toronto, training is only available online.
  • For online sessions, HTA 75 only covers registration fees and participants may be responsible for additional class materials.
  • Registration is sent 10 days prior to start date
